How to Make Eggnog Cookies

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookies sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2: Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg together in a small bowl.

Step 3: Using an electric mixer cream the sugar and butter together in a large bowl.

Step 4: Add the eggnog, vanilla, and egg yolks beating at medium speed until smooth.

Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Beat at low speed just until blended.

Measure the dough out into 36 cookies (about 2 tablespoons of dough each) and place them onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Leave 1 inch between each cookie.

Lightly sprinkle nutmeg on each cookie.

Bake for 23-25 minutes. Bottoms should be light brown.

Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes once out of the oven.

Transfer to wire rack and let the eggnog cookies cool completely.

  • 2 ¼ C flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 ¼ C sugar
  • ¾ C salted butter softened
  • ½ C eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 egg yolks large
