Loyal Lee Conrad; her children, Anna Gillespie, Martha Conrad and Mary Conrad and husband, Bill Wallace; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma, she moved to Albuquerque in 1999. Born in Collinsville, OK, she graduated from Poteau High School, as co- Valedictorian of her class, in 1934 and received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri, in 1938. She was a reporter for the "Ligonier Leader" in Ligonier, IN, and was Editor of "The Tinker Field Takeoff' at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, before her marriage in 1943. Reba was active in the League of Women Voters, PEO Sisterhood, Girl Scouts of America, and was a docent at the Thomas Gilcrease Institute of American History and Art in Tulsa, and at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History in Albuquerque.

She attended Tulsa Business College and after her graduation, she went to work for Oklahoma Vocational Rehabilitation. After leaving Vocational Rehabilitation, she went to work for the Tulsa Police Department as a Secretary. After working there several years, she returned to work for Vocational Rehabilitation. She is survived by her husband, Ted, of 55 years; sister, Mary Edwards; brothers, J.L. Parsons, and Jerry Parsons and wife, Peggy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

VIEW AND SIGN THE ONLINE GUEST BOOK: www.legacy.com/tulsaworld Michael Tod Lilburn LILBURN Michael Tod, 42, born in Nowata, OK, and most recently living in San Diego, CA, died early Sunday morning, August 13, 2006, in a helicopter crash off the coast of Astoria, OR. Lilburn was filming a documentary on the Lewis and Clark expedition at the time of his death. In his career he earned three Emmy awards for editing, sound, and photography, as well as three Golden Mike awards and several Press Club of San Diego and La Pluma awards.
Tod was an exuberant soul, who lived a full and happy life. He was a graduate of Bartlesville College High Class of 1982 and the University of Oklahoma, School of Journalism, 1986. He married Debra Stinson of Broken Arrow, OK, in Santa Fe, NM, in April 1993. The couple lived in Tulsa, Winston-Salem, Beijing, China, and now made their home in San Diego. Together they had a son, David, who continues to bring laughter and light into their extended families' lives.
Tod brought passion, enthusiasm and commitment to his endeavors and was an inspiration to all that knew him. He loved to spend time with his family, cook, hike, camp, travel, visit friends, and cheer for the Sooners although he had doubts about how they would do this season. Tod was involved in his son's school community and led his son's Cub Scout den. He had a rare goodness and ability to bring people together. He will be missed and celebrated as he lived fully, with an open heart, and laughing joyously.

Friday, August 18, 2006, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso, OK, with Jerry Moore officiating. He was born on September 21, 1926, in Afton, OK, to Ory William and Virgie Evelyn (Spurlock) Birks. His protective and selfless spirit will be missed by friends, neighbors and family. For sixty years he shared his life with his high school sweetheart, Dorothy May Birks. They graduated from Afton High School, with the Class of 1944.
E.G. was drafted into the United States Army on his 18th birthday and served in the Philippines and Korea. Three days after returning to the states, he married Dorothy May on October 26, 1946. They lived in Tulsa for 30 years before moving north of Collinsville. Four generations of family have loved his humor and "can do" spirit: his loving wife, Dorothy (May) Birks of the home; a daughter, Susan Birks Brown and her husband, the late Matt O.
Brown, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Angie R. Smith and her husband, Dave Smith; and great-grandchildren, Collin Smith and Leah Smith, all of Edmond; a son, David George Birks, and his wife, Jamie Birks, and a grandson, Brandon T. Birks, all of Tulsa; and a son, Michael Elden Birks, of Norman. Close family members include his brother, Melvin Young Birks, and his wife, Nadine Birks of Afton; sisters, Juanita Birks Peterson of Tulsa, and Sylvia Lewis Johnson, and her husband, John Johnson of Houston, TX; and a beloved aunt, Esther Spurlock Parks of Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Virgie Evelyn Spurlock Birks and Ory William Birks.
After his Army service, E.G. operated the Wilcox Service Station at 15th and Boston. He finished his public career in sales, with Howard Chevrolet of Owasso, retiring at the age of 60. He was then able to devote 20 years to his passions: sharing his love and knowledge with his grandchildren and raising cattle and ranching. All four generations enjoyed "the farm" and shared many misadventures.
This was often a joint venture with many wonderful neighbors, especially the Shank family. E.G. and Dorothy traveled extensively, especially enjoying trips to China, Egypt, and Australia. E.G. was a committed Christian his entire life.
E.G. and Dorothy were in their seats every Sunday for the last ten years, participating in the television ministry of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. He cherished his wife and built a beautiful partnership. He was a living example of what is right and good. In these actions, he leaves a wonderful legacy to his children and grandchildren.

Mell died in her Bixby, OK, residence, as was her wish.
During the final days of her long bout with breast cancer, she was surrounded by her daughters, her sisters, and her beloved grandchildren. She was born October 8, 1930, i in Stigler, OK, to John Calvin and Minnie Forbes Willhite, one of seven children in the Willhite family. On June 20, 1957, she married Charles "Chuck" Alldread in Tulsa, and in January 1966 they relocated to Bixby from Tulsa. In 1967, she opened a beauty salon (appropriately named and later moved the salon to Bixby's downtown area, where it expanded to include a women's and children's clothing boutique, known as the "Strawberry Patch." She was a charter member of the Bixby Pilot Club. In 1968, Mell and Chuck built one of the first homes along Stadium Road in Bixby.
Following Chuck's death in December 2000, she remained in their Stadium Road home. Despite years of illness, she remained devoted to her many Bixby friends, the growing Bixby community, and the First United Methodist Church of Bixby. During those years following Chuck's death, First United Methodist Pastor, Jessica Moffatt-Seay, provided many special kindnesses and comforts to Mell and her family. She will always be remembered as an independent spirit, determined and courageous in her daily life. She had a sharp wit, an engaging laugh, and a beautiful, warm, smile.
She touched those around her with her natural charm and grace. Most of all, however, Mell will be cherished and remembered for the great love she gave to her family. She exalted in family above all things, and her siblings, children, grandchildren, great -grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family could always count on her love no matter where, when, or what the circ*mstance. Surviving Mell are her 3 daughters, Elaine Grubbs and husband, Rick, of Broken Arrow, Deborah Kay Miller and husband, Randy, of Tulsa and Norma Kay Hendrix and husband, Danny, of Bixby; 6 grandchildren, Stephan Wangsgard, Branton Wangsgard, Whitney Miller, Jacob Miller, Charlsey Hendrix, and Garrett Hendrix; 6 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Of special note are Mell's 3 surviving sisters, Geneva Lorenz and late husband, Bob, Savannah Motley and husband, Larry and Winnie Lou Morgan and husband, George; as well as Mell's many nieces and nephews, with which she enjoyed special times.
She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Ted, Junior, and Pete Willhite. Mr. Robbins was the retired Vice President of Tulsa Community College. He served as VicePresident of Business and Auxiliary Services at TCC. He also served the College as Associate Dean for Evening Programs and Summer School, Coordinator of Talkback Television, Chairman of Business Services Division, Mid-Management Coordinator and Business Instructor. Prior to joining TCC, Mr.
Robbins served 23 years with Hanna Lumber Company in Tulsa as a Salesman, Supervisor, Manager of Hanna's store and a member of their board of directors. Mr. Robbins was a native of Ft. Gibson and attended school in Wagoner, OK. He graduated from Langston I University and subsequently earned a Master's Degree from Oklahoma State University.
He also completed graduate work at the University of Tulsa. Mr. Robbins served as a Board member of several organizations, including The Salvation Army Home and Hospital, Hutcherson Branch of YMCA, Tulsa Urban League, Children's Medical Center, American Red Cross, Tulsa Chapter, National Conference of Christians and Jews and Doctor's Hospital. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of North Tulsa. His professional affiliations included Higher Education Alumni Council of Oklahoma, Central Association of Colleges and Universities Business Officers, National Association of Colleges and Universities Business Officers, Phi Delta Kappa, Prince Hall Masonic Lodge and Rotary Club of Tulsa.
He was also a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He leaves in God's care: his wife, Flossie; 7 children; 16 grandchildren; 9 great dren; and a caravan of other relatives and friends. The final tribute will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2006, in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church of North Tulsa. Rev.
